Tackling Drugs to Build a Better Britain
Tackling Drugs to Build a Better Britain, launched in April 1998 by the UK Anti-Drugs Co-ordinator, is a ten year national strategy for continuing a partnership approach for addressing drug misuse locally. Across England 111 Drug Action Teams are charged with developing a strategy which ensures joint commitment to reducing levels of drug use and minimising the harm associated with use.
The focus of the strategy has four key elements:
- Young People
- Communities
- Treatment
- Availability
